THIS. IS. IN.SANE.
Yes I am aware that there is no such word as in.sane. But still. It is needed in this case.
The still photo of the donkey in a car, taken while shooting our film Aingeal in Knocknagoshel, Ireland this weekend has been sent ALL OVER THE WEB and tonight was featured on Craig Doyle Live on RTE2. I can’t quite get over this madness. One tiny scene in a film I wrote, that literally only lasts for 20 seconds, and it is all over the internet and now TV!
TEAfilms and Sibling Productions are so proud of this. We can’t wait to show you the rest of the film. If you think the donkey picture is crazy….

AINGEAL!
Our film Aingeal finally has a funding video!
We are due to start shooting mid April (so just a little under a month away) on location in Knocknagoshel, Kerry, and man are we excited.
Any small contribution to our film would be much appreciated. I will bake you a cake too if you contribute. Honestly, I make a mean victoria sponge.
Have a look at the video to find out more about our lovely little project xx

And here is a link to the trailer for Four Days of Grace!

And now dear friends, a theatre recommendation for you…
Our good friend’s theatre company Clever as Clever open their new show Four Days of Grace this coming Tuesday 20th March at The New Diorama Theatre, London.
Clever as Clever were behind 2011’s Public Interest, inspired by the Baha Mousa case, which garnered rave reviews from Michael Billington (The Guardian) amongst others, and received an Off West End Nomination for Best New Play!
Four Days of Grace
“I don’t feel like anything’s real until you’ve told someone.”
Clever as Clever’s second production follows Grace. Waiting for a fridge.
For four days. This comic and heartfelt monologue couriers us into her home, ruefully exploring the reasons, beyond a poor delivery network, that create her heart broken prison.
Grace’s crippling past perpetuated by this wait is driven to the surface in this sincere exploration of a woman driven to confinement.
The play stars the fabulous Rachel Marwood in the title role, and runs from 20th March until 7th April.
You will have to search far and wide to find someone as hard working and dedicated to their craft as Drew Ballantyne, the playwright and co-founder of Clever As Clever. In preparation for the run at The New Diorama, Drew is up at 5 every day, working a full day and then flyering at the Royal Court Theatre EVERY NIGHT. For that alone I would implore you all to book tickets, but the play itself looks set to be a gem, and well worth the ridiculously low price of £12.50 (£11.50 concessions!). Where in the West End can you see great theatre for anything under £50? Yes that’s right, nowhere!
I personally can’t wait to see what Four Days of Grace has in store - it has even been recommended as a must see by Theatre guide Spoonfed!

Hello all
TEAfilms are holding a quiz night this Sunday 11th March at Oval House Theatre, London to raise funds for the Sibling Productions and TEAfilms co production Aingeal, due to be filmed this April in Ireland (Knocknagoshel, Kerry to be precise!).
Aingeal is part of the Unaccounted series of films made by TEAfilms, which is also being funded from the proceeds of this quiz night.
Here are the awesome details:
TEAfilms in association with Sibling Productions are holding a Fundraiser-Pub-Quiz-Night at Oval House Theatre on the 11th of March 2012 to raise funds for their short film set in County Kerry, Ireland.
Everyone loves a quiz, right!? Chuck in a set from Mangoseed and che…ap alcohol, cupcakes and nibbles (because why not) and its going to be the epicest Fundraiser-Pub-Quiz-Night you will ever attend… or something.
Entry is £5
18.30 - 22.00
…oh we will be debuting Mangoseed’s latest music video (produced by the same team that will be shooting the short film) as well. Plus one or two other little surprises along the way.
So come on down for a chance to win some prizes and help raise money for a wicked project. Feel free to bring other people or even come with your own TEAm. We would love to see you all there.
We have a lot to do. A LOT.
Hope everyone is well? We have been pretty busy. We are off to Ireland the end of this month for a rekke for our first film, entitled Aingeal! Excited!
All that needs doing is a weeny bit of editing, and some casting. And by casting I mean we need to find a donkey. Pronto.
No the film isn’t just about a donkey. All will be revealed soon. We have a few funding sites to set up, and an upcoming film fundraiser too!
Shooting is booked for the middle of April and Adam and I can’t wait!!!!!
We also have two upcoming plays for later this year and a theatre festival event around the time of the film shoot. But that is all I can say for now ;)
Lots of love and donkeys,
Eliza xx

Well we have returned…it’s been a while. Soz for that. I can’t use any excuses to be honest, Adam and I have been busy and well….a bit useless.
Happy New Year/Merry Chrimbo/Happy Chanuka/ 明けましておめでとう。
Oh yes I can speak Japanese. Well…I can look it up on google and copy and paste. Same diff.
Hope you have all had a good one. Adam and I have lots of updates:
We are sorting out funding for the company woo hoo!
We are planning our next big play for May woo hoo!
We will probably try and do something small before too (music event, small play preview maybe, summit) wo.. I can’t be arsed with woo hoo anymore.
I have finished the screenplay for our film ’Aingeal’, which means we will be filming in Ireland from April 13th-18th…unless Adam et al tell me it’s rubbish and to throw it in the bin :-/
We have finally finished reading all the scripts you lovely and talented people sent us and will be getting back to you from tonight!
That’s it for updates. We are very excited. And can’t wait for the good things 2012 will bring!
Loads of love and penguins (Adam got me penguin socks for christmas, how genius is that)

Wow…it’s been almost a month since we last blogged. Lazy.
Well actually, we have been anything but lazy. The above photo is a resemblance of what Adam and I both currently look like thanks to the amount of scripts we have been reading. My eyes are not impressed with me at the moment.
We put a call out a while ago for new scripts and have received a mountain of untouched gems…you want brothels and mel gibson obsessives, we can help you.
Sibling are still looking for more scripts for our new writing season early 2012 so keep sending them in. If you are sitting on the next Red Light Winter or Mogadishu send your work in to Adam and Eliza - info@siblingproductionsuk.com

Oh god, I am so obsessed with this film I just have to do a silly little blog about this on it’s own. DRIVE. Anyone else adore it and the soundtrack?
This is my favourite scene and the best song - A Real Hero by College (feat. Electric Youth). Ryan Gosling walking in slow motion carrying a child has made my ovaries go into overdrive (ha do you get it?…drive?…ok I’ll go home…).
Seriously if anyone is sitting on a script as good as this send it our way. NOW. Play/film/weird surreal art installation, if its this good we will do it.
Enjoy xx

We at Sibling Productions have been a bit AWOL from Tumblr the last few weeks. Sorry about that. We certainly haven’t been sitting on our laurels or on hiatus. IN FACT we are well on our way into pre production on our first film! More to come on that score, however I can say that it is in collaboration with Sketchbook Productions and TEAfilms, directed by the wonderful Nicholai La Barrie and penned by moi. Oh and set in Ireland. WE CAN’T WAIT!
Filming won’t be until April next year as there is far too much to organise in advance. We have also got two plays up our sleeves…one we know about…and one we don’t! We are doing both an established play (that we’ve chosen) and a new piece of writing that we haven’t found yet. SO. Any budding playwrights out there sitting on a masterpiece? We are looking for a drama for around 6+ characters and preferably under 1 hour 30mins. But we aren’t too worried about the length of the play. To be fair if it’s genius it could be 5 minutes long for all we care. We just want some damn fine writing!
Email Adam and Eliza @ info@siblingproductionsuk.com with scripts or synopsis. We are accepting full scripts so go ahead and send them!
In the mean time, here is what is on my iPod non stop at the moment (besides the Drive Soundtrack that is). Laura Marling, Sophia.
Love and cough drops (I’m getting a cold :( )

Apologies that this isn’t film/music/theatre related, but its infinitely more important. You find it both shocking and yet (disturbingly) unsurprising. Police pen up and mace female “Occupy Wall Street” protesters in New York yesterday. Their crime? A PEACEFUL protest. They weren’t rioting, attacking onlookers, causing criminal damage. Their only crime was exercising their right in a supposed democracy to freedom of speech. Oh, and probably the crime of being young and female too. What did they get for merely standing and peacefully protesting? They were rounded up by police in an orange pen and sprayed with mace as if they were violent criminals. Banks and governments can effectively rape and pillage this world. Yet if you compain about it, you get maced.
Would the police have done the same to an overpowering gang of males causing destruction on Wall Street? Doubt it. And even more disturbingly, this didn’t make much impact in media outlets. Surely this is news?

Bless him, he’s playing a judge watching a Queen tribute act. Amazing.
The video is directed by Neil Neenan and is part of competition to choose a new video for Queen. Please have a look and send your votes in for this great video.
